Roofing & Guttering - Pitched Roofs - Flashings & Fixings

Roof flashing is an integral part of any roofing structure and works to prevent the passage of water into the structure from a joint.

Flashing is used to decrease water penetration at joints such as chimneys, vent pipes, walls that abut roofs, and window and door openings. There is apron, chimney, and step flashing.

Lead is the most common product for flashing, although other materials, such as aluminium, can also be used.

Alcan flashing is an alternative to lead flashing. It is manufactured from a soft conditioned aluminium, which is highly resistant to corrosion and possesses excellent weld and workability properties ensuring it is perfect for roofing applications.
